Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Aathlon ("we," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application. By using Aathlon, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, profile photo (if you add one, including via Google Sign-In), and a password stored securely and encrypted by our authentication provider — we never see or store it in plain text.
Community and usage data. As you use the app, we collect and store your community memberships and join requests; messages you send in group channels, direct messages, and community chat; posts and announcements you create or interact with; and reservation/booking activity, including which objects you book, when, and any cancellations. If you are a community admin, we also store your admin actions — announcements, approvals, booking rules, and reservation management on behalf of your community.
Automatically collected information. We collect basic device and app diagnostic information (e.g. app version, crash logs) used to maintain and improve the app, along with timestamps of account creation, logins, and activity — used for community activity analytics visible to community admins.
How We Use Your Information
- Create and manage your account
- Enable community features (messaging, posts, reservations, join requests)
- Let community admins manage their communities, including viewing aggregate activity analytics
- Maintain the security and integrity of the app
- Communicate with you about your account or community activity
- Improve and troubleshoot the app
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
How We Share Your Information
Within your community. Your name, profile photo, messages, posts, and reservation activity are visible to other members and admins of the communities you join, as part of the app's core functionality.
Service providers. We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage) to store and process your data securely. Firebase acts as our data processor and is bound by Google's own privacy and security commitments. We do not share your data with any other third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Aathlon, our users, or others.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase's cloud infrastructure, which includes industry-standard security measures such as encryption in transit and at rest. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Data Retention
We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or security purposes. Booking and reservation history may be retained in anonymized form for community record-keeping.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable
To exercise these rights, contact us.
Children's Privacy
Aathlon is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Third-Party Sign-In
If you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) from Google as authorized by you during that sign-in process. We do not receive your Google account password.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
